N.S. WELSHMEN FAREWELLED.
SYDNEY, March 7. The Now South Wales representatives in tlie Australian cricket team which is to tour England, excepting Bradman, who is on a holiday in the country, were the guests at a farewell luncheon In the Millions Club to-day. Sir Arthur Hickard, who presided, said it would be a catastrophe if the Australian team returned without tiie Ashes. However, whether it: won or lost they knew the team would play the game in the right spirit and do credit to the Commonwealth. Mr. It. Oxhide, chairman of the Hoard of Control, predicted that the team would have a wonderful reception in England, and that O'Reilly would prove himself one of the greatest bowlers whom England had seen. All the speakers applauded the fact tiiat Bradman is vice-captain, as the time is rapidly Approaching when Woodfull will disappear from the game.
