Rescues By Boat in Queensland Townships. EXTENSIVE FLOODING. (Received 11.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, this clay. The flood position at Charleville is serious. People all along Edward Street have been forced to vacate their homes, where water is now two feet deep. Numbers were rescued by the council boats. A warning has been issued that the dam, four miles from the town, may burst at any moment. A general rain is falling. Railway bridges in the north are still submerged, and a big flood is being experienced at Riverview. The water in one hotel is up to the ceiling, and a number of homes are flooded. Women and children were rescued in boats. The water is three feet deep in the Town Hall.
