TWO INJURED.
WORKSHOP EXPLOSION.
SPARK LIGHTS BENZINE,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)' I TAIHAPE, this day. An explosion occurred in a workshop occupied by the borough staff, at the rear of the Town Hall, in Hautapu Street, about 8.15 this morning, and two employees, Messrs. E. Sainty and W. Gamer, received injuries necessitating their removal to the hospital. Mr. Sainty was badly burnt about the hands, face and chest. He was grinding a chisel on an emery wheel when the sparks ignited some benzine fumes, the workshop being a storage place for machinery, and various goods. Gelignite was stored some distance away, and exploded violently. The workshop was much damaged.
