BUSINESS PROMOTION.
KAHANGAHAPE ROAD SOCIETY The report of the year's operations to be presented at the annual meeting of the Karangahape Road Business Promotion Society next Tuesday states that there is a membership of 73. As the result of representations to the Auckland Transport Board, two additional safety zones were erected on the busy stretch between Pitt Street andJ Ponsonby Road, and a promise had been made to repair the tram tracks in Karangahape Road. Other matters dealt with during the year were improved sanitation in Arch Hill gully, postal facilities and free bus services. The annual report states that signs are not wanting that the process of deflation has spent itself, and that an upward trend may now be looked for. i Development along Karangahape Road would absorb unemployed, reduce taxation and assist in a general return to I prosperity.
