AHSTRALIA'S WOOL CHEQUE.
Australia's wool clip for the current season is expected to aggregate 2.675,000 bales. Though this represents a decrease of about 350.0(10 bales on the previous clip, it is hoped that better prices will much more than fill the gap caused by the shrinkage in quantity. If present values hold, the wool cheque for the season should be about £45.000.000, I;hst year it was roughly £35,01)0.000, in 1031-1032 it was £29,000,000, and in 103J--1031 it was £27,000,000.
