THEFT AND FRAUD.
YOUNG LABOURER. GAOLED. Charges of theft of an overcoat and other clothing, worth £3 13/0, and two charges of incurring debts totalling £3, thereby obtaining credit by fraud, were brought against Robert Hulme, aged 24, labourer, in the Police Court this, morning. Hulme pleaded guilty to all charges. The magistrate, Mr. Wyvern Wilson, said Hulme's list of previous convictions showed that ho had been given every chance, but had not availed himself of the leniency shown him. It was no use allowing him at large to prey upon the public. Hulmo was sentenced to two years' reformative detention.
