WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

BUTLER—AICKIN. | A charming wedding took place at St. Alban's Church, Dominion Koad, on August 23, when Phyllis Elizabeth, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Aickin, was married to Victor Claude, youngest sou of Mrs. and the lata Air. J. W. Butler. Great interest was displayed by the many friends of the bride and bridegroom, and the- beautifullydecorated church was completely filled. The Rev. A. J. Greenwood officiated, and the service was fully choral. The bridal party were met at the church door by the choir, which preceded the bride up tho aisle, singing a processional hymu. The bride was given away by her father, g ' and wore a lovely gown of white crinkled satin, with pearl embroidered train. The long tulle veil, which fell to the edge 'of her train, was fastened with a spray 1 of orange blossoms. The bride carried ■ a sheaf of lilies, and was attended by \ her sisters, Misses Kathleen and Marjorie \ Aickin, as bridesmaids, and three little j flower girls, Molly and Kathleen Page and Mario Keatley, nieces of the bridegroom. The chief bridesmaid wore pale rose crinkled ■ satin, and her younger sister forget-me-not blue satin, simi- | larly fashioned. The train bearer wore a | Victorian frock of blue taffeta, and the | other flower girls pink taffeta frocks. All wore ehirred ribbon caps and carried muffs of contrasting colours, with posies of flowtre. The bridegroom was sup- § ported by his brother, Mr. K. Butler, as t best man, and Mr. lloger Aickin, as groomsman. Messrs. D. Sumner, L. Aickin and D. Robinson officiated as i uehcrs. Mrs. K. A. Aickin wore a red | ■ crinkled crepe and beige lace frock, hat ■to tone, and carried a red and cream | posy. Mrs. J. W. Butler's frock was j black crushed velvet, black hat and j violet posy. A reception was afterwards j held at the Parncll Park Kiosk, where I the guests, mostly near relatives of the j 1 bride and bridegroom, wore entertained, ; ; and appropriate toasts honoured. _______
