The Plunkct ball organised by Waitangaru settlers o~t Thursday evening last was an unqualified success. The rain ceased in time to allow visitors to assemble from all quarters of the district until the hall was filled. The proceeds will supplement the funds of the Te Kuiti District Pl"rVr>t Society. The music was supplied by Mr. Whitten (pinno'l and Mr. Ilaskil (violin}, and the Ibup]>er arrangements were carried out by Mesdames Lowric, Brier, Buckley, Verry and Jury,
