PLAGUE OF CRABS.
I CALCUTTA DRAINAGE SYSTEM. CALCUTTA, August 23. Millions of tiny crabs, entering the Calcutta drainage system from the River Hooghly, have dislocated the unfiltered water supply of the city. The crabs found their way into the mains, and have clogged the pipes and fittings. The authorities are on their track, but it will bo a fortnight before tljfi water system is free of them.
