KING'S DILEMMA.

CRISIS IN ALBANIA. Rejection of Ultimatum from Mussolini. DISMISSAL OF OFFICIALS. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) i BELGRADE, August 27. A crisis has arisen in Albania in consequence of King Zog rejecting the four leading clauses in a sevenpoint ultimatum from the Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini. These clauses demanded tlie dismissal of all high officials in Albania not of Italian origin; the removal of Sir Jocelyn Percy, Inspector-General of Gendarmerie, and other British officers in command of the police; the replacement of these officers by police; and the reopening of Roman Catholic schools. It is asserted that the ultimatum represents the biggest threat to any Balkan State since the Austrian ultimatum to Serbia, which precipitated the Great War. King Zog faces the alternatives of a revolution due to Albanian dissatisfaction' over Italian dominance, or the : loss of large Italian subsidies.
