CURRENCY REFORM.
MEETING AT MERCURY BAY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHITIANGA, tliis day. A large audience in the Mercury Bay Library last night listened co a lucid address on currency reform, which was given by Major Mackesy. Mr. H. Simpson presided. A resolution was unanimously passed that tho Government be asked to sot up a, non-party commission to make full inquiry with a view to making alterations in the monetary svstem. A committee is being "formed to inauguiate a branch of the currency reform movement.
