Government's Strong Protest
To Germany.
MALTREATMENT ALLEGED
LONDON, April 28,
Tho "Daily Express" says the Polish Government since March 11 has made five successive protests to Germany respecting the alleged maltreatment of Jewish nationals.
The Legation in Berlin was supplied with sworn affidavits giving particulars of tho beating and wounding of 147 Polish Jews between March 5 and April 5. Another allegation concerns imprisonment and demolition of property.
The Germans on each occasion promised to make inquiries and give redress, but the Poles claim they have received only vague promises of investigation or a declaration that the incident was not known to the police.
