GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of the Glen Eden Town Board was held last evening, when Mr. A. J. Eoutley presided.

Dog Tax.—lt was decided to call for applications from ratepayers for the position of collector of dog taxes.

Highways.—lt was moved that the Highways Board be written to for payment of a portion of the cost of fencing the approaches to Kearon's Bridge, also for part of compensation paid to adjoiniug landholders. The final payment of £71 6/10 to the Pope Construction Co., for the construction of Kearon's Bridge, was authorised, as also the sum of £28 9/ to Mr. A. Murray, engineer to the board.

Works. —It was decided that the tennis club be requested to cut back overhanging fences on the road frontage. The cartage tender for the ensuing twelve mouths was let to Mr. Mathieson.

Building Permit. —Plans and specifications submitted by Mr. Hyde for building extensions were approved.

Water and Hall Charges.—lt was decided to call special meetings to consider water charges and rate arrears, also the question of revision of hall charges.
