SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES.
WELLINGTON SALE PRICES. The usual fortnightly sale of sheepskins, hides and tallow was held on Friday by the combined Wellington brokers. The demand for all descriptions of sheepskins was keen, prices being frilly up to late quotations, fine woollen lote showing an advance of %d per lb. Overseas buyers and local tanners bid freely for all grades of ox and cow hides, at a general level of last sale, stout ox showing an improvement of %d to %d per lb.
