BLAME FOR LOWER PRICES. IMPORTERS INDIGNANT. LONDON, April S. Dairy produce importers and merchants in England are indignant about cablegrams received from the New Zealand Dairy Board attributing the slump in butter prices to their actions. The Importers' Association officially challenges the statement. It asserts that nothing could possibly have been done here to cope with the huge supplies, which exceed all possible consumption demand. It is stated in London that the New Zealand board had all the necessary data to forecast the present crisis at least two months ago. Some importers expect a war of attrition, which will last for years.
