VAUDEVILLE REVUE.
HIS MAJESTY'S AT EASTER
The first of tne spectacular new .revues to be staged by Mr. Frank Neil on the return of his company to His Majesty's Theatre at Easter will be "The Laugh Parade." It will be followed by "Clowns In Clover" and "The Whirl of the World," all three productions being entirely new. Mr. Neil, who has just returned from a hurried trip to Australia, announces that there will be several new faces in the troupe. Ella Shields and George Wallace will, of course, head the list again. A bright and successful show, according to all reports, "The Laugh Parade," will include many striking stage pictures, and several dancing novelties, with Maurice Diamond's beauty ballet in further gems of terpsicliorean art, and the loudly-heralded "Cleveres" troupe of acrobatic dancers. The four "Daring Diabolos" will return, together with Murray and Walton, Australian vaudeville dancers. The season is eure to meet with a typical reception from Aucklanders. Ella Shields is possibly the most popular artist yet seen in vaudeville in Auckland, while "George Wallace has for years held hie power with local audiences. It 16 the fine variety and excellent direction in the show which makes it so enjoyable, in the opinion of most Southern critics. Mr. Neil brought back from Sydney some new dresses and scenic effects, with the result that "The Laugh Parade" and its two successors should prove novel in eve:'" way. Music will be supplied by Jack Spooner's Savoy Band, liox plane, will open at Lewis Eady'e on Tuesday morning. I
