Sir James Coates has now re covered firom his recent severe illness. The Rev. Father Holbrook, of Auckland, is expected to return, by the Monterey on December 5. Dr. A. G. Talbot, who has been attending tie B.M.A. Conference in London, will return to Auckland next week. Mr. A. T. Wells, Receiver of the Mental Hospitals Department, Wellington, is in Auckland ,on Departmental business. Mr. Zane Grey, the well-known novelist and big-game fisherman, is expected to arrive in Auckland by the Monterey on Decemfoer 5. Dr. E. P. Neale, secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, returned this morning from the S;tratford-Oka-hukura railway opening celebrations. Mr. Douglas Mill, of Auckland; re- , turns to New Zealand, by the Mataroa, which arrives at Wellington to-morrow. He has been on a business vi&it to England. Mr. M. J. Sheahan, of Auckland, who attended tihe Eucharistie Congress in Ireland, will arrive home by the Monterey, which is due at Auckland on December 5. Mr. A. M. Seaman, president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, leaves for Wellington to-night in order to attend a meeting of the Development of Industries Committee. Dr. E. Marsden, Director of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, who lias been spending a few days in Auckland, leaves for Wellington by, to-night's Limited express. Mr. R. M. Scelly, representing the Te Aroha Gold Syndicate, left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Hβ will join Mr. R. Coulter, Mayor of Te Aroha, and they will give evidence before a Parliamentary Committee. Mr. S. Takle, president of the Auckland Manufacturers' Association, who left Auckland on Sunday evening to attend the Okahukura-Stratford railway opening celebrations, ihas gone on to Wellington to attend a meeting of the Development of Industries Committee. Mr. Bernard F. Page, who has resigned the post of Wellington city organist, and intends to leave shortly for England, is to be tendered a complimentary concert, when he will appear in conjunction with the Wellington Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Pago has at different times been conductor of tho Wellington Municipal Orchestra, the Royal Choral Union and the Wellington Amateur .Operatic Society.
