CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB. The usual fortnightly shoot of the Metropolitan Gun Club was held on Saturday. There was a very good attendance of members, but the shooting was not of a high order, on account of a strong wind. Results :— Seven-bird Sweepstake.—A. E. Macredie (16yds), shot the possible and tpok the pool; J. C. Whitney (14yds), L. Peterson (18yds), L. J. Henderson (14yds), G. F. Keene (16yds), A. Hanigan (12yds) and D. Hyauiason (13yds) each shot G birds. No. 2 15-Bird Match for Walker and Hall's Trophy.—L. J. Henderson (14yds), and I. Thomas (13yds) each broke 14 birds and took the pool. In the shoot-off for the trophy at five birds each, Henderson scored four and Thomas three. Henderson took the trophy. A- E. Macredie (16yds) 13, G. F. Keene (lGyds) and C. A. Whitney (16yds), VI each, were the next best scores.
No. 3 Te.-.i-imu luuicu Lut a . Trophy.-1.. Peterson (lSydS), and I. Thomas (13yds) tied with 9 each. In the shoot-off, first miss but; Thomas missed the first bird, Peterson got his bird and won the trophy.
