MT. ALBERT GYMNASIUM CLUB

A very successful gymnastic display and concert was presided over by the club president, Mr. A. W. Page, in King George's Hall, Mount Albert, on Wednesday evening. Physical and wand drill displays. were given by the junior boys, while the senior members gave skilful turns on the parallel and horizontal bars, which were thoroughly-enjoyed by the large attendance of parents and friends. Special acrobatic arid tumbling-items by the junior and senior • girls of Miss ■Adams' class met with rounds of applause, while the lifting and balancing acts of Mr'. ■ Len Wilson and his partner were thoroughly enjoyed. Songs were rendered by Miss Woods, who had to respond to an encore, while Mr. Morton, the magician, also rendered popularstems. .A novelty swing with basins of water by the ; club instructors, Messrs. Parker and Coleman, were successfully carried 'out; As the' result • of the recent competitions the Mayoress, Mrs. Stilwell, presented prizes to the winners:—First-year boye, F. Watts 1, I. Raffan 2; junior boys, I. Bailey 1, Ken. Wilson 2. Special prize for the most improved boy, F. Haddon. The appearance and tricks of two members of the senior club as clowns ended a thoroughly enjoyable evening's entertainment. J
