MURDERED MAN.
LARGE ESTATE LEFT,
SYDNEY, August 8,
Probate has been granted of the will of Mr. Victor Claude Saywell, who died on April 23 after having been assaulted while in bed. His estate is valued at £110,348. Deceased's wife, who was murderously attacked at the same time as her husband and is still unable to speak, receives an annuity ol £1000, and the residue, apart from a few bequests, goes to the testator's two sons.
Mr. Saywell, of Bellvue Hill, Sydney, was a well-known solicitor and sports-
man. He and his wife were found in bed on the morning of April 22, with their beads terribly injured. Apparently they had been struck with a hammer while they were asleep. The injured couple were taken to hospital. Mr. Saywell expired next night. A blood-stained hammer wit found in an adjoining paddock.
