CHILDREN FOR MOTUIHI.
LARGE PARTY TO-MORROW. SEVENTY-EIGHT TO RETURN. A party of 83 children (53 boys and ;if> girls) will leave Auckland at 10 a.m. 10-morrow morning by launch for Afotuihi Island, where, under the care (if tlie Community Sunshine Association, they "will derive the benefit of sunshine and fresh air and nourishing food. These children, who are In poor health, were recently selected hy two doctors of the Public Health Department from a large number of tho city and suburban schools to make the trip. Seventy-eight of the 80 children now on the island will return by launch (o-morrow, and are expected to arrive about 12.30. The eight children who are remaining on the island, havo not derived the same benefit as their companions from the holiday, and will not return to Auckland until the party now jjoing down is due to return. Each party pterit down remains a month on tho itsland. The children who are to leave tomorrow will assemble at the Community Sunshine School in Nelson .Street. Those returning from the island will be given hot pics and fruit on the launch, and will disperse to their homes on arrival. The secretary of the association said this morning that the board will decide at its next meeting, on Wednesday, « hother the association will be able to "end another party of children to Motuihi in August. He said that ;f iinances permit it is practically certaiu that they will be sent.
