OBITUARY,
MR. N. H. GILL. \ well-known man in the timber trade, Mr. Henry Neil'Gill, of Argyle Street, Heme- Bay, died on June 0 in a private hospital, aged 03 years. Mr. Gill was born in Waipu, and at the age of IS years went ta West Australia, where, he gained much experience in timber milling. Returning to Auckland, he joined the etaff of the Kauri Timber Company, and later was appointed manager at the Mount Eden branch, which position he held until he joined the Loyland O'Brien Timber Company. Mr. Gill was a foundation member of Lodge Maungawhau, 108, Freemasons, and was a vice-president of the Masonic Institute. He was also an enthusiastic bowler, and in 1915 was president of the Mount Eden Bowling Club. Ho is survived by Mrs. Gill and two daughters. The funeral of Mr. Gill was largely attended by brethren of the Masonic Craft and other friends. The Rev. Angus Macdonald conducte?l the church service at the grave and M.W. Brother Oliver Nicholson read the Masonic service. Mr. Gill was a past grand deacon of the Grand Lodge, N.Z.C., Freemasons.
