Germany Must Have Relief On
Commercial Debts
FATE AT LAUSANNE.
LONDON, June 7
There are persistent reports on the Continent that Germany will default on her commercial debts unless she secures relief at the Lausanne Conference. The City of London is preparing for this eventuality.
In the House of Commons, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, Major \V. E. Elliot, said Germany's total payments to June, 1031, to the Allies and associated Governments for reparations and the cost of the army of occupation amounted to £1,010,000,000 at par of exchange.

Baron von Neurath, German Ambassador to Britain, who has been appointed Foreign Minister in the new German Government, was received in a farewell audience by the King yesterday. With the Baroness he remained to' luncheon with His Majesty.
