The report presented at the annual meeting of the Carlton Bowling Club on Wednesday stated that in spite of the depression a successful year had been experienced. The balance-sheet showed a small credit balance. The report stated that the club regretted to report the deaths of four members, Messrs. J. M. Thomson, F. Cottrell, W. J. Konayno and D. Guy. These members had all taken a prominent part on the committee and would be greatly missed. The club won two of the Auckland Centre championships : .T. Duncan, H. .Tonkin, It. lliggott and C. 11. do Launay winning the Christinas fours; while T. B. Rowe and J. S. Kilgour annexed the champion pairs. The club was also runner-up In Its section in the pennant competition. Club competitions resulted: Senior championship, 11. C. Clarke; runner-up, A. G. Fookes. Junior championship: A. L. Stohr: runnerup, E. Hill. President's handicap: G. Wrightson; runner-up, J. Dillicar. Percentage fours: G. Gladding, G. Hosking, H. C. Clarke and H. Roberts; ruuners-up, T. Mit- ■ chell, W. Ball, A.
