COMMITTEEMEN RESIGN.

CHAIRMAN DISSATISFIED. TALK ABOUT. TOWN. Tr WHANGAREI, this day. At a meeting of the Whangarei Unemployed Association last evening, Mr. J. H. Brown expressed disappointment at the way in which association affairs were talked about in the street. He resigned from the office of president.

Messrs. W. E. Dobson and L. Bradley also placed their resignations in the hands of the secretary.

A motion was placed before the meeting that the resignations be accepted with regret. An amendment that the full committee resign and an election take place was, however, carried, the motion being withdrawn.

Difficulties arose in filling the main offices. Mr. J. Gordon was finally elected president, and Mr. S. Hoey secretary.
