LEAVING THEIR HOMES.
YORKSHIRE PLOOD REFUGEES. MJGBY, May 26. The Minister of Health, Sir E. Hilton Young, stated in the House of Commons to-day that owing to the floods at Bentley, Yorkshire, about 2500 persons evacuated their homes yesterday. Many would go to friends, and adequate arrangements had been made for the others.
The various land and drainage authorities were considering measures to prevent similar floods in future.
