AUCKLAND HARBOUR BOARD.
The Auckland Harbour Board met yesterday afternoon. The chairman, Mr. U. K, Hutchinson, presided. Donation Refused.—The Auckland Dmcharged Prisoners' Aid Society appealed for financial assistance to carry on its work. It was decided that the request b* declined with regret. Engineer's Report—The engineer reported that the final adjustments of vhe electrical and mechanical equipment of the opening span of the western viaduct were almost completed, and that tha concrete, asphalt and bituminoUß approaches would be finished at tha end of the month. . New Member. —The returning officer for the combined district of.tha countie« of Raglan, Waikato and Waipa notified tnat Mr. Alexander Livingstone had been successful at the election of a member oi liui board held on May li« Onehunga Anchorage.-The Manukau Yacht and Motor Boat Chib and the Manukau Cruising Club asked that the present wall at the Onehunga protected anchorage be extended, and that an outer wall 600 ft long be constructed to give additional accommodation. On the recommendation of the harbourmaster it was decided that further cons,deratior. of additional works be postponed until the original work has been completed.
