RESULT OF RECENT RIOT. LOCAL BODY IN AUCKLAND. STATEMENT BY MR. FORBES. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Tho Prime Minister revealed in the House of Representatives this morning that, as the result of tlie recent riot, one Auckland local body had failed to negotiate a loan. As soon as the news came through, Mr. Forbes said, the underwriters had broken off negotiations.
