RUN TO SYDNEY.
SMITHY LEAVES DARWIN. DARWIN, January 20. Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith left with the English air mail at 0.40 a.m. to-day for Newcastle Waters. He had to empty a portion of the 300 gallons of fuel from his aeroplane before he was able to rise. Then he got away excellently. The ground was firm in spite of six inches of rain in the past six days.
