FLOOD HAVOC.
DAMAGE IN QUEENSLAND. (Received 1 p.ui.) BRISBANE, this day. A wake of devastation was left by the cyclonic disturbance which is now passing south. There is still serious flood danger in several rivers. Anxiety is felt for the small steamer Bopple, which left Townsville on January 14. It should have reached Brisbane on Monday, but has not even been sighted yet. There are 11 persons aboard. A man was drowned in the flooded Mulgrave River. Serious damage was caused by . the flood at Townsville, where the railway bridge over the Elliott River was carried away and washed downstream. Disastrous washouts occurred near Bowen. Several bridges over the Burdekin River were submerged. Eighteen inches of rain fell at Cuthhalungra, near Townsville, on Tuesday.
