EARLY-MORNING PROWLER.

AVONDALE RESIDENT'S REPORT. A resident of Brown Street, Avondale, states that for the last month or so several residents of the neighbourhood have missed egg* from their fowlliouses, and that he himself has suffered considerable loss. This morning he was awakened in the early hours by a prowler, who persistently tried the 'windows. When the prowler looked into his own open window, he immediately got up, awakened his son and gave chase, but the man disappeared into tl\e darkness. Residents of the neighbourhood are advised to be on their guard against further visits.
