GREATER SUPPORT URGED. TO ENSURE CONTINUANCE. Hie Auckland Chamber of Commerce has drawn the attention of the chambers in the Bay of Plenty, Waiuku, Ivirikopuni and Okaihau districts to the probability that the branch railway lines in their areas will be closed at an early date unless, mora support is given. Not only is the matter of immediate importance to the districts, the Auckland Chamber says, but, if the lines are closed, it will mean that the Dominion as a whole will be saddled with a permanent interest burden for which nothing could be shown.
