TWO PER CENT PAY.
FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION.

WELLINGTON, this day.
According to a return submitted to the House yesterday on the motion of Mr. W. J. Poison (Ind., Stratford), the percentage! of students obtaining secondary education in State high schools who paid fees in 1930 "was 2.32. The amount of the fees was £6300. The cost of secondary education for the year which ended on March 31 last was £399,229, exclusive of the cost of new buildings, equipment, furniture,. sites, etc.
