OUTSTAYED PERMIT.
CHINESE TO BE DEPORTED,
Look Kow, a Chinaman, was fined £20, in default six weeks' imprisonment, and was ordered to be deported, by Mr. F. K. Hu'nt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning. He had pleaded guilty to a charge that at Wellington on November 30, 1927, being a person to whom a temporary permit was granted to enter New" Zealand, and havi'ng been granted an extension of permit, he remained after the extended period. Mr. J. Mcintosh, Collector of Customs, said a ship was leaving at the end of the month, and asked that accused be deported on it.
