JURY DISAGREES.
RETRIAL OP WOOLBTJYER.
CHARGE OF EXTRAVAGANCE,

CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday.
The jury disagreed this afternoon in the retrial of Washington Irving Carney, a woolbuyer, on a charge of bringing about his bankruptcy by unjustifiably extravagant living. The retrial took place in the Supreme • Court before Mr. Justice Adams.
The Crown prosecutor asked for time to decide ■whether the case would be carried further, and Carney was remanded until Friday.
