(By Telegraph.—(Press Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, who has been staying at Longbeateh since Monday, visited Ashburton to-day, and was accorded a civic welcome by tho Mayor (Mr. Woods) and tho county chairman (Mr. Withell). His Excellency attended a gathering of school children in the Domain and visited the hospital, afterwards attending tlie Agricultural Show. Lord Bledisloe goes to Christchurch this evening.

LADY BLEDISLOE. DEPARTURE FROM DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Lady Bledisloe, having recovered from her illness, left his morning to join his Excellency at Christchurch.
