SCIENTIST CONDEMNS PRACTICE. LACK OF EXHAUSTIVE INQUIRY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) « WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Institute is being held to-day. The president, Dr. Coleridge Farr, delivered an address in which incidentally he condemned those who professed to predict earthquakes. In many cases, he said, these predictions were based on the lack of exhaustive scientific inquiry.
