IN A TEMPEST.
Battered Oimara Reaches Port. SAILS IN TATTERS. (Received 11.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Melbourne yacht Oimara, which left Sydney 11 days ago for Melbourne, after having crossed tie Tasman to New Zealand and back, experienced tempestuous weather. She sheltered near Wilson's Promontory late last night. The Oimara reached W T elshpool Harbour short- of water and food. The engine was out of commission and most of the yacht's sails, including the spares, were in tatters.
