GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD

The ordinary meeting of the Glen Eden Town Board was held last evening, Mr. A. J. Routley presiding.

Water Reticulation.—The board's engineer (Mr. Spencer) was in attendance, and hnal arrangements were made to complete the water supply extension to Fruitvale Road. It was decided to purchase a machine for placing water pipes in position without breaking the surface of the ground. Anzac Day.—lt was agreed that the board conduct the Anzac Day services at Waikumete Cemetery as last year.

Unemployment Relief.—As a measure for the relief of local unemployment it was decided to effect improvements to the recreation ground.

Museum.—Mr. W. H. Shepherd was nominated as a representative of local bodies at an election of members for the Auckland Memorial Museum.

Assessor. —Mr. W. P. Levy was appointed assessor for the Glen Eden town district.
