Reign of Terror Perpetrated
In Burma.>
MURDER AND INCENDIARISM.
DELHI, February 12.
The Burmese rebels, who as a result of the military and police activity are split into small bands, are terrorising the villages in the Tharrawaddy district, and villagers who are known to be friendly toward the Government are being murdered. The Crown forces encountered a party of 200 rebels and killed 11 of them. The others fled.
Messrs. Findlay's big timber camp near Tharrawaddy was burned by the rebels. The two British managers made a timely escape.
