CLEARING THE AIR.
POLICY IN PALESTINE.
(British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.)
RUGBY, February 12.
Replying in the House of Commons to a question regarding the letter on the British policy in Palestine which the Government is forwarding to Dr. Weissmann,' leader of the Zionist movement, Mr. Ramsay MacUonald said that in the body of the letter it would be made clear that the document was to be read as an authoritative interpretation of last year's White Paper on the matter. The letter would also be communicated to the League of Nations and embodied in a dispatch as an instruction to the British High Commissioner in Palestine. The letter involved no change in policy but removed a great deal of misunderstanding which occurred.
