REFORM CHANGE OF FRONT.
Mr. Coatee now tells us the Reform party Jβ in favour of tapering off borrowing Mr. Coates in the last two years of his holding office borrowed £2,300,000. Was that the' start of tapering off, or why start now if not then ? Mr. Coates is now in favour of placing: the railways in the hands of a board, free from political control. Just so, but "why didMr. Coates not do this when he was 'Prime Minister; were the spoils of office too "great? Rather bad policy, too, to try to claim this change as his own idea, as the commission ,to advocate it was set up by the United Government. Mr. Coates failed to deliver the goods when he had the opportunity, and it will take a lot of talk to give the Reformers confidence in their leader. . ILEX.
