The goods -will be offered .for sale to the public by tender, so that each article exhibited will go to th 6 highest bidder. Up to the. pi l es«iit goods to the-value of over £1000 liave- 'been received, and have been ; grouped into about-.20 .separate departments. . These include exllibitions of hardware, furniture, millinery .arid drapery, fancy goods, stationary, confectionery, electrical and motor gear, and some- exceptionally fine articles ill beaten copper. All the goods are of local manufacture, and make an interesting representation of the progress achieved by New Zealand ■industry.:.. . .:'.. .: "■
The greater, part of the'funds raised by the . local, executive of the Cancer Campaign >vill be spent in the Auckland province. Among it's objects are the treatment of local'patients, the establishment of central cancer • clinicsi the collection of statistics to aid the central executive, and the full us?-of knowledge so far gained concerning the- cure of cancer by radium. A campaign will also be conducted to educate the public concerning the symptoms of the disease, and the methods to be adopted for'its cure. •• . ■; . " ■. '
