VICAR OF OTAHUHU.

FAREWELL AND PRESENTATION.

Presentations and a public were tendered, to the Rev. C. W. B. Seton, vicar of the Otahuhu Anglican Church, last evening. The popularity of the vicar was evidenced in the large gathering that met in the parish hall. : Mr. Seton is leaving by the Ra'ngitiki on six months' leave. He intends to reside in England with his mother for a few weeks, and 011 his way back spend some time with his brother in Palestine. Mr. R. B, .Todd, J.P., presided, and spoke of the high esteem in which Mr. Seton. is held, not o'nly by his parishioners, but all the citizens of Otahuhu. Valedictory speeches were made by Canon H. K. Arclulall, of King's College, the Rev. H. B. Wingfield, Dovonport, and Mr. C. B. Pearson, Otahuhu. Mr. G. W. Dell, people's warden, presented Mr. Seton with a wallet containing a substantial cheque. Mr. H. Fearnly, vice-president of the Otaliuhu Returned Spldiers' Association, presented a gold life member's badge. Mr. H. P. Lovell, president of the "Social Club, presented a travelling rug. Ivan Handford on behalf of the Rover Scouts, presented a shaving outfit, and Mr. Norrie, on behalf of the Mangere East branch, presented a leather cushion. The Rev. H. H. Bedford will officiate during the absence of Mr. Seton.
