CONGREGATIONAL MEN'S LEAGUE.
The sixth monthly meeting of tlie Auckland Congregational Men's League was •held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening. Approximately 60 members had dinner together and the number increased for the main session at 8 p.m. As the president, Mr. Gordon Smith, ivas taking over the pastorate of the Devonport Church early next month, the Rev. R. C. Roberts took the opportunity on behalf of the league of' wishing him success. A programme of music was rendered byMr. Samuel Adams' instrumental quartet, William Gcmmell and Mr. Geoffery Laird, and Mr. W. Lewis gave humorous recitations. The president introduced the speaker for the evening, the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh, M.A., who took for his subject, "Student Kennedy—Preacher, Poet. Padre." At the close Mr. Harold Ennor. thanked the speaker.
