CO-OPERATION MOVEMENT,
Proposals for greater co-operation among societies concerned were discussed at a special meeting of the executive of the Auckland Social Workers' Association last evening. The Piev. G. E. iloreton presided over a large attendance of-members. -
Over 20 societies engaged in the relief] of distress in Auckland were affiliated j to the association, said the chairman, but fuller co-operation among them was urgently needed. The executive proposed to appoint a registrar, who would keep a record of all help received from the social workers. It was the desire of the association to link up every society into a powerful organisation, so that the danger of overlapping would be minimised. An official from the relief department of the - Auckland Hospital Board had attended executive meetings in an advisory capacity, but further action was jiccded. , .
A fcub-wiHinittee consisting of the Rev, 0. K. Moreton, the Rev. C. G. Serimgcour and the Rev, T. Halliday was appointed to investigate ways and means for close co-operation among the societies, .
