GASCONY RETIRED.

TO TAKE UP STUD DUTY.

MR. T. H. DOWRY'S DECISION

Gascony, who was bred and raced by Mr. T. H. Lowry, has finished his racing career and is to be retired to the stud at Okawa. It was at first thought that this horse would stand another preparation, but Mr. Lowry lias decided not to put him into work again. Gascony is by King John from First Blow, by Finland from War Talk, by Martian from Gossip, and included among his victories are the Great Northern Foal Stakes, Great Northern Champagne Stakes, JJanawatu Stakes, Palmerston North Stakes, and North Island Challenge Stakes.
