METHODIST CHURCH CONCERT

On Wednesday evening there was a large gathering of the members of the Mount Eden Methodist Church in the schoolroom, when the choir gave a social' for the purpose of obtaining gifts for the fancy stall for the [bazaar to be held next month. The artistic effect of the decoration scheme of balloons and streamers was enhanced-Jhy coloured lights. Under the leadership .of Mr. P. DelloW, the choirmaster, and Mr. Vernon Brookefe, a most enjoyable programme of games and. competitions ' was provided. Pianoforte solosV were . contributed by Misses Edna Gray and Mollie ,'Martyn, and songs .by Miss Dixon arid' Mr. Arch Wallbank.
