C. Emerson, who is setting up as a trainer, has received his first pupil, a yearling filly by Woodend—Glentruin. The latter was a brilliant galloper and winner of the Stewards' Handicap t*\\ o years in succession. The younster will be trained for Mr. A. Cliisholm, Southland, the sportsman who imported the sire and dam.
