KICKED TO DEATH.
MAN DRIVING, TROTTER. THROWN ON HORSE'S HEELS. FOUND TERRIBLY INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. William Knox, aged 27, a farmhand at Waitakaruru, was kicked to death by a trotting hcrse which he was driving near Kopu last night. Kiiox harnessed up a four-year-old trotter, the property of Mr. Sam Woodroof e. and took it o , .:: for exercise with a sulky. The horse bulted, and Knox was thrown forward on its heels, which inflicted terrible injuries to his head and face.
He was found on the road by some children and taken to hospital, where he died this morning.
